4.5 stars. So glad I got to experience Uncle Chai on my trip to Palm Springs! Visited the Rancho Mirage location with a few friends and tried their Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) which was delicious. Perfectly spicy. They surprisingly had Mango Sticky Rice (didn't know mango was in season) which is always the perfect way to end the meal. Customer service was quick. Love all the options on their menu and would come here again.

My wife, daughter and I ate take out from here during our January 2025 visit to Palm Desert. The process of ordering (which used grub-hub) was easy and efficient. The food was ready when I arrived to pick it up. The spring rolls were somewhat bland. The Prik King with pork was very tasty. It was spicy but not overly. The noodle dish was good also. This is a good option for Thai Take out.

Nice reception and ambiance. Friendly staff and costumer service. Food is delicious plenty menu options. I can't wait to come back! We had green curry, drunken noodles (medium spice). I had a POM POM drink and dessert sticky mango rice. It was all great! I would suggest getting a knife or asking to precut more the mango. You can tell they use fresh ingredients like bamboo shoots.

Happened across this place during my Yelp search. So happy I did. We came hungry and tried a soup, spring rolls, and a fried wonton for appetizers. We ordered two kinds of curry, drunken noodles and a meat salad. All were very tasty, be careful with the spice level (I like it hot) but, medium was enough. Located in the Rancho mirage design center, it's worth the trip. Service was impeccable and I can't wait to return.

Nothing but good things to say about Uncle Chai. They had a good beer and wine selection, as well as some soju cocktails and a house sangria. For appetizers, we had the chicken satay and pork wontons, both of which were delicious. For meals, we had to larb moo, yellow curry, and chicken pad see eew, all of which were great. Overall, some of the best Thai food we have ever had. Service was quick, and the staff were very friendly. Dining in was pretty quiet on a Monday, and the restaurant was clean; there seemed to be a lot of people grabbing takeout as well.

Arroy! Arroy! Arroy!!! After living in Bangkok for several months, we returned to Palm Springs and have been craving some of our favorite Thai dishes. The Yelp reviews pointed us to Uncle Chai Thai and we are so glad we discovered this gem of a restaurant. Authentic Thai dishes served in very generous portions. We sampled many things on the menu and all were great and Filling. Plus - we got to interact with Khun Ari and knew we had found our go to Thai place. Make sure you order the rice berry rice with your entree. It's a personal favorite. By far - the BEST Thai food in the Palm Springs area. From

If I were a local, this would be my go to Thai food restaurant.... Great meals and wonderful staff... Plenty of seating for eating in and it appears they do a lot of takeout. Don't hesitate if you're looking for some amazing Thai food. Uncle Chai's is fantastic.

I have come to this place once every year for the last two years. I really enjoy a lot of their dishes here especially the pad se ew and the moo ping. The servers here are really sweet too but I wish the place had a little more light inside. But overall, I recommend this Thai place if you come around Palm desert!

Very unassuming, AMAZING place. Inside some sort of strip mall type building. Went on a Sunday so other shops were closed and I didn't think the restaurant was open but it was, and I was so glad. Staff were very nice, and food came out fast. The pork bowl I got with bbq and fried pork was life changing. Pad see ew was perfection. I'll be back for sure and looking forward to trying the pork plate with noodles! FYI, pork skewer sticks are super spicy even though it's not described - beware!
